Harley-davidson : Sportster Shovelhead Lowrider 1981 Harley Davidson Sportster Motorcycle Picture(s) and Description:
1981 Harley Davidson Sportster Vehicle Description I am selling this motorcycle for my sister. This 1981 Harley Davidson Sportster, had an electrical fire which damaged the wiring harness. This Harley has been in indoor storage for over 2 years, it was brought in 2002 from Midway Motors in Ft. Pierce, Fl. My sister and her husband moved and could not store the bike at their new home. I offered to sell the bike for them.
please click the image bellow.
The bike of course does not run in it's present condition, but did prior to the electrical fire The frame is in great sharp.
The gas tanks, seats, some chrome parts, saddle bags and accessories have been removed and stored with the motorcycle.
You can see from the photos all the parts and accessories that go with it.
My sister and her husband brought this motorcycle with the best of intentions to ride and love it. However, after the electrical fire it just sat in their garage.
The bike looks like it could get back in top condition if someone knows what they are doing. I don't know the exact mileage but is was 40,700 in 2000. I know very little about motorcycles other than they are very popular here in S. Florida. If you have any questions, please email me and I will do my best to answer them at agronowd@bellsouth.net.
Please understand that with any such vehicle of this vintage and present condition, this bike is being sold "as is", where is, with no warrantees or guarantees what so ever. As well, the buyer would be responsible for all shipping arrangements and pricing.
