Cushman 1951 Cushman Eagle “Barrel spring” scooter Picture(s) and Description:
Up for sale is my 1951 unrestored Cushman Eagle "barrel-spring" scooter. This model(2nd year) doesn't come up for sale too often & most Eagles of this early 50s vintage are only seen in museums. The 1951 was the 2nd year manufactured by Cushman and has the Husky 5 horsepower engine & 2-speed gearbox. All mechanicals are original and are 62 years young as I know the history of this machine. It has lived in a semi-arid enviroment in central Texas & has taken best in class in the Harvest Classic Vintage M-C rally held in Luckenbach, Texas. The headlight & taillight both illuminate and are the original items, however the headlight lens has a crack. The original carburetor/cable/throttle were replaced w/a Mikuni(original goes w/purchase)which is a huge improvement in starting and rideability. I am NOT giving this away as it is a piece of rideable cycling history so bid like you want to win at the next cycle rally. I don't know what the mileage is as this model did not come w/an odometer.
