A work of art restoration by master Canadian restorer, John Gurr. MATCHING NUMBER 1960 BSA GOLD STAR SUPPLIED TO "McBrides Cycle" in Toronto Canada on March 4, 1960 in Scrambles trim cofirmed by the BSA Owners Club dating officer in the UK. Fully restored to Clubman trim. Engine has new bigend assembly, new valves and guides, new rings. Fitted with Clubman cams 2442 and 2446. Big Port DBD head and AMAL 1.5" GP carb with remote AMAL round float bowl. Gearbox cases are RRT2 but fitted with STD cluster for easy use road ratios, all new bearings and seals. Clutch is the later 4 spring, easier to live with than the BSA 6 spring. Magneto is rebuilt with new bearings/seals and a rewound armature from Dave Lindsley in England. Dynamo has new bearings/brushes and an electronic voltage control from Podtronics. New "British Wiring Inc" braided cotton wiring harness. Both wheels have new sealed wheel bearings and have been rebuilt with "Central Wheel" stainless steel spokes and new "Made in England" chrome steel rims. New Avon tires front and back with top quality tubes. New Reynolds primary and drive chains fitted. Correct 46 tooth finned rear drum/sprocket. Original fuel tank rechromed and freshly painted. Rechromed filler cap and lined with POR15 tank sealer. All new cables. Rechromed original "BSA Big Ball" control levers. New Leighton seat. Frame and all fittings powdercoated. Fitted with both side and center stands. Clubman rearset fittings with original pegs and new rubbers. Forks fitted with all new bushings and seals with new chrome seal holders. New chrome fenders as suppllied by Haggis in the UK. All hadware has been Cadnium plated as original. THIS BIKE ONLY HAS 500 BREAK IN MILES! It will need additional mileage before it is run hard to complete the break in process. This motorcycle is fully serviced and detailed. So please bid with confidence. Within 24 hours of winning an auction, a $500.00 deposit must be received. From the time of deposit, the winning bidder will have 7 business days to remit payment in full.
